Abstract:

Objective To discuss the correlation between subarea of the descending colon relative to the left kidney (SaDCK) and the type of anatomic position of the left lateral conal fascia formed by the anterior and posterior renal fasciae outside of the left kidney (APLCF) using multi-slice spiral computed tomography. Methods The abdominal CT imaging data of 121 patients were collected and analyzed retrospectively. The SaDCK and the type of the APLCF were studied, and the corresponding value was recorded. Results (1) 72 patients showed that the type of the left APLCF belonged to type I, and 49 patients showed that the type of the left APLCF belonged to type II; (2) The anatomic position of descending colon showed a trend from the front to the posterolateral side of the left kidney; (3) There was a correlation between the SaDCK and the left APLCF at the level of the renal hilum (χ2=6.254, P<0.05). Conclusion  There was a correlation between the SaDCK and the type of left APLCF.
